Generation “Gimme”, we’re in deep trouble folks

with 4 comments

The generational gap between those who, like my parents, lived through both the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression and the more recent Gen X crowd is so extreme at this point, it seems like the Gen X group are from a different planet.

An even more distressing division though has made its appearance with the Generation Gimme dorks.

The newest “Gen” of more or less adult age has a vastly skewed concept of what this nation is about, what the purpose and the role of the “Government” is or should be and to be honest, the Generation Gimme flakes make me want to run around in circles and scream loud enough to hurt the neighbors dogs ears.

The video below is as stated, from Valencia College in Florida and if it is representative of the current crop of doofusses (doofi?) (doofettes and doofusites?) I might make it through until the end of my life without having to leave the country, but my sons and grand-kids have no hope whatsoever of being able to achieve any sort of personal economic stability.

The far more likely scenario will be for those who are able and willing to “produce” wealth, to be forced to share with those who have zero inclination to put in the time and effort to actually produce anything, not to mention any sort of actual personal wealth accumulation based on real work.

I’m concerned, those with enough brain cells to hold their hair in place on the outside of their head should be worried, and the nation is in deep doo doo if these morons don’t wake up and realize the “Hope & Change” they were promised by the Komrade Imam Commander in Chief is pure lunacy.

OK, here’s the deal, I tried for more than long enough to get the video in this and it won’t go in.

Here is the link to the video, the best I can do.

My excuse is that I’m old, my brain is full and may I be excused?

I’m having similar fears as you are having. I see and hear people thinking they should be “given” the wealth and things of others. I feel appalled.

Like you, my grand parents, parents, my generation, and my son all worked for what we got. We never ever envisioned or thought for one moment that “someone’ better off than we “should” share their wealth with us. It was unthinkable.

To get ahead meant we had to work harder and harder. That was fine as the fruits of us working harder got us promotions and more money.

Today, I fear there are too many who believe in communism as they have never been taught history or witnessed the horrors of that type of situation.

Like you, I fear we are in deep doo doo also and wonder if there is anyway to change things back to the way they were.

I fear my grand children will not have a life of achievement and hard work that will pay off for them in the end because they will be under a communist system that will allow them to be nothing more than worker bees whose money goes to those on the top, the proletariat and the dictator.

    • You nailed it! – Worker drones, it’s worker drones the Progressive-Socialist-Marxist-Democrats have been and are striving to create the past sixty years.

  2. I must say I got chills down my spine listening to the info shared by that professor, Gar. Then I got to thinking about Jackson and wondering what it will be like when he gets to be 18 (and trusting he will). Pathetic was the first word that came to mind. Then a sort of fear (not emotional) gripped my heart for him and all young people (including my husbands kids who are in their 20s).

Guess I better get off the dime and do more to try and prevent what sadly appears to be the inevitable collapse, eh?

    • We all need to do more it seems. And only because the ones who should be doing it are stuck on stupid. More concerned with who wins American(s – are) Idol and what the newest tech gadget can do, rather than will they be free to use those gadgets unhindered, unfettered, unregulated, and uncensored.

“To those who have the most to give is left the job of giving more.”
It’s more than just a Socialist Tax Code, it may also be the only route to fixing the problems we as a Nation find ourselves.
Still, some of us will offer up what we have to find a solution, if a solution still exists.
