Truth, Justice, Freedom [under fire]

Politics can be mundane, but rarely boring

Left is still the Left after all these years

The more it all changes, the more it simply remains the same. A conundrum at best and confusing to those who don’t keep a close watch on politics.

H/T to Lew who found this video clip

And moving forward forty five years or so from 1967 +/-, although much has changed, it remains the same. Democrats remain attached to a mode of spending and controlling the population for their own purposes and thereby dragging the rest of the country down the tubes with them in a ‘hellbent for leather’ fashion.

It appears, from a standpoint of survivability of the nation, we have to look forward to a means of controlling the errant practices of the Leftist Socialist contingent within government. More laws, regulations and rules piled on top of the already overly burdensome amount of Federal regulations, laws, rulings from minor bureaucrats, and Leftist Socialist judges  legislating from the bench seems counter-intuitive to reducing the stumbling blocks in the way of returning to the status of a nation which is a a producer rather than a consumer culture currently in place.

But legislate we must it seems, and in tandem with a reduction of laws currently on the books. Reductions in the Federal government, such as:

  • Elimination of the Federal Dept. of Education in favor of allowing each State to administer the actions of it’s local school boards as it wishes.
  • Elimination of the Federal Dept. of Energy which was created by the completely moronic (quasi) President Jimmy Carter in response to a temporary problem of the Arab oil embargo  and which has long outlived it’s original mandate and usefulness.
  • Reducing the regulatory burden on businesses attempting to create jobs and wealth within this country
  • Elimination of all tax burden of American businesses from income earned overseas. The Gang of Six have proposed a plan to reduce the taxes on foreign income, but that still leaves corporate bean counters with the job of determining how much income to bring back onshore instead of leaving it outside US tax jurisdiction.

Is there more to be done? Of course there is, but we have to begin somewhere, and recognizing the dysfunctionality of the Leftist Socialist mob is a place to begin. Creating an environment in which jobs for Americans occurs will be the result of reigning in the excesses of Democratic Socialism.

  1. Well you sure got that right and I can think of some more agencies we can do without. And all those czars. Who needs them to much up everything? Why is it we can’t get rid of these people? Do we need to do more damage than we civilized peoples are used to?

    • Yes, there are quite a few agencies which could be outright eliminated and perhaps a few I can think of which could be downsized back to the original mandate and reason they were begun in the first place.

The reason we can’t get rid of the Czars is because the Socialist-In-Chief doesn’t care what the average American thinks or says, and his Socialist DemoKrat sycophants won’t dare criticize him for fear of being ostracized from their circle of friends as racists. (which they are by the way)

      • Gar,
Rand Paul had an excellent budget proposal that would have made us solvent in 5 years. Of course dingy harry tabled it and told Rand it would never see the light of day.
Rand’s proposal was to get rid of all these agencies that are not Constitutional in the first place. He had a plan to save SS and Medicare. But these commies up there want nothing to do with reasonable ways to reduce government. In fact, they don’t want to reduce it all.
The fraud in the WH does not care one hoot about us, the people as you stated.

      • I was hoping for a default, with the subsequent awakening of those who are stuck on stupid and too busy figuring out who the next American Idol is going to be to actually pay attention to the dire straits this nation is in.
Those of us who have bled for this nation seem to better understand how fragile it really is.

  2. I could not continue with my comment as I could not see the lines anymore. But, General Paul Vallely (ret) has inside information that the potus is a fraud. He has talked to insiders who told him the whole of Congress is afraid to charge the fraud because they fear a massive black uprising. They also fear a massive uprising by we the people too. He stated that even the military is fearful of this. He cannot believe how far the bar has gone down in the military. He and Ollie North both have plenty of info and they are trying to get an attorney to appeal Terry Lakin’s case whereby he was put into Leavenworth for 6 mos for not going to Afghanistan until he saw proof of the fraud’s BC, which does not exist by the way. General Paul Vallely wants to see the entire government come down as it contains too many corrupt and crooked pols. Then he would like to sift the wheat from the chaff as there are probably some good men in there, but hard to find. Whatever the case may be we are not going to get our Republic back until we have an outright revolution or a coup of some sort. The crooks up there are not going to go easily.

    • Every CITIZEN should have enough rounds of protective projectiles to maintain home and personal safety. The process will unravel in a hurry once the floodgate is opened. Chaos will reign and no help will be available for weeks or months to come.
